It’s Begining to Cost a lot like Christmas!

At last the holiday season has arrived which means heavy traffic on the Thruway, a packed gym, unnecessary lines, and empty wallets. I love this season, don’t you? No seriously, this is one of my favorite holidays. The vibrant spirits, humble smiles, and the love that’s spread around just makes me smile. I love giving; it’s one of my favorite things I love to do for people. During the holiday season, it is a tradition in my family to “adopt a family”, we buy toys, clothes, gifts for the adults, prepare a dinner, make cards, and bring dessert. It’s a wonderful experience! I’ve been doing this every year since I was a little girl and it brings me so much joy to my heart to be able to provide for another family.

I truly have no problem giving gifts to others, I love doing it – as I said before, but gifts can definitely leave your wallet empty. True or no? Think about it, the number of toys you have to buy for the little ones, the groceries for dinners, bigger gifts for the parents or significant other, and whatever else you have to spend on. The point is that whenever this season comes along, I start looking more and more at the clearance section. I still look at clearance regardless, but now I’m not even willing to pay that extra $8 for  shipping, lol. I have some tips for saving money this year… one word – EBATES. You get money back for shopping online or in stores. Check out the link for a direct sign-up.

Another deal breaker is the mall, believe it or not, the mall has some pretty good sales – you just have to go to the right stores. The outlets are usually good all year round, but sometimes it’s a little shaky during the Christmas season. If you are looking for little knick knacks or less than $40 in gifts, CVS, Walgreens, and Five Below is where the goodies are. Walgreens has beauty boxes, makeup baskets, hair care, fragrances, and more for just under $20. I highly recommend you check it out.

I wish you all a merry, joyful, safe, a loving holiday!

Peace and love.
